Today we are going to do a review of my most recent get, Nendoroid Hakase. She just arrived in the mail today, and it’s great to finally have her after waiting a few months!
Here she is in her box.
She comes with a variety of accessories: Two sets of extra arms, a pair of extra hands, two other faces (worried & happy), a sitting pose, table, two tea cups, & she also comes with Sakamoto the cat!
Here she is right out of the box. Very cute!
From the back
As you can tell from the previous photos, due to Hakase’s coat she is able to stand by herself without the use of a stand. Of course she does come with one, and due to her long coat & long hair goodsmile had to come up with a way to have her use a stand. This is the result, you slide her legs into the plastic thing in the shape of an 8.
And this is the result! Very nice job with the stand, although I’ll probably have her standing by herself for most of the time ^^.
Here’s a look at the accessories she comes with. I love that she comes with Sakamoto & his box, along with two tea cups and a table. This set goes really well with Nendoroid Nano Shinonome, although I don’t have her yet T_T
Sakamoto!
Of course Hakase comes with ロールケーキ (roru keki, Roll Cake). Those who have seen the series will know what this is all about.
Itadakimasu! This is where it would be nice to have Nendoroid Nano as they could sit across from each other at the table.
Hakase also comes with these adorable cat ears & tail. Very cute!
Nyan nyan~
Her worried face is also very adorable.
This is her other set of hands, a bit hard to see but it looks like she is giving the peace sign, or playing rock paper scissors ^^.
Enjoying her roll cake.
I’ll probably display her like this from now on.
This is definitely a must get for any fan of Nichijou! Hakase was just released this month so you should be able to pick her up at any online store.
Oh yeah, one extra thing! As GoodSmile celebrates its 300th Nendoroid, all preordered nendoroids from December-January receive a special 300th Nendoroid Anniversary stand! More info can be found over at Nendonesia about these special stands.
I got the pathway stand, but there are a few different ones that you can get.
Looks nice!
Thanks for looking!
Great review! Love your preview photo. The accessories Hakase comes with are ideal items for other nendoroids to get together. Oh, looks like it’s time to dust your Haruhi as well, haha.
Thanks! Yeah I should have dusted Haruhi off first ^^; Probably time to go around and dust off all the figures anyway.
Oooh I really liked how GSC came up with the 8 stand to hold Hakase..very cute! Hahha and since I didn’t get Nano, I skipped out on Hakase as well..still glad that you enjoyed her!
Yeah she is very cute~
that hand sign is a victory sign.
sometimes you can see anime characters use this sign to express positive result instead of oral message at the question “how did it go?”
n most common hand sign that young asians make in front of a camera. as an asian, my friends n I are so sick of this v sign. but whenever we r taking pictures, we make that sign at the very last second. in the end, we all look at the result, cry out loud “we did it again! whaaaaay!”
mayb thats why young asains came up with stupid team poses – ” we r sick of that v sign!!”
