Nendoroid Akaza Akari

Today we take a look at the just released Nendoroid Akaza Akari from the anime Yuru Yuri. She just arrived in the mail and it’s exciting to finally be able to review her!

Here she is in her rather colorful box, very reminiscent of the series.

She comes with three faces: her \Akarin/ face, a serious looking face, and a sad/crying face. She also has a pair of extra arms, hand, and bending knee. She comes with accessories so you can do her twintail attack pose, a bit more about this further down.

Here she is right out the box. Pose looks kinda awkward with that face.

Adorable! I think this is probably her cutest pose. Looks like it is made to emulate when she gave her intro in the first episode of Yuru Yuri.

Here is her other pose, which emulates when Chinatsu kisses Akari in the series. IMO I would rather that they would have included a different face in place of this one. I can’t see myself wanting to display Akari in this position, but that could just be me.

This is pose is achieved by using her other twintail, which has a peg in the side. This allows you to put her twintail into the stand have it so it looks like she is lying down. Although due to the size of nendoroids heads, it’s hard to make it look like she is lying down when you look at it from the side ^^.

But wait! if you have Nendoroid Akari be sure to take the backdrop out as the transparent Akari lives behind there.

You can stand up the transparent plate to make it look like Akari is transparent! Very cute. Also the backdrop is a nice inclusion, which as you might be able to tell I used it as a backdrop for this review.

That about sums up the review, overall this is a very cute nendoroid. It would have been nice if they included a different face from her sad one, unless they plan to release a nendoroid Chinatsu in the future, but it doesn’t seem likely at the moment. If you’re a fan of Yuru Yuri you’ll probably want to get your hands on her!
