Random Figure Photos 2

Nendoroid Snow Miku

Dumping some random figure photos that I’ve taken over the past month or so. I’m thinking I might make this a regular thing, maybe posting a dump of random photos of figures every month.

Haven’t posted pictures of Snow Miku in a long time… and since winter is coming it seemed only right to start off with a pic of her.

Miku Dayo nendoroid is slightly frightening

Mikudayo Nendoroid

Mikatan has updated her blog with pictures of what I can only describe as the most frightening nendoroid I’ve seen. Original text from her blog:

Nendoroid Miku Dayo!

From ‘Character Vocal Series 01: Hatsune Miku’ comes a Nendoroid of the conspicuous character based on Hatsune Miku, Miku Dayo! Her flappy twin-tails that became ever-popular at events have been faithfully recreated in Nendoroid size, andeven move about in the same way as the original costume
I’m sure there are a couple of you that are wondering who the heck this is… let me create a quick summary of how she was created!

(1) Sega made the ‘Project mirai’ game, featuring Nendoroid Vocaloids!
(2) A life-size Nendoroid Miku costume was made to promote the game!
(3) Everyone felt the costume didn’t quite feel like the real Miku!
(4) The costume Miku became her own character, Miku Dayo!
(5) Miku Dayo is made into a Nendoroid, completing the cycle!

That about sums it up! Those of you who are hearing about this for the first time may find it quite hard to believe, but this strange version of Miku has become loved just after appearing at a few events!

NYCC Loot

Nendoroids

The New York Comic Con is the yearly event where my wallet goes to die. I always overspend, but it’s only once a year so I don’t feel so bad ^^. With GoodSmile company being there along with a big selection of figure booths I went especially crazy buying things. I usually don’t do loot posts often but Comiccon is the one exception as its probably the time when I buy the most stuff at once.

As you can tell from the above photo, practically my entire budget went into nendoroids. Continue reading

Nendoroid Storage

Stack of Nendoroid Boxes

One problem I’ve encountered as my nendo collection grew bigger over time was how to manage all the parts that come with them. I used to store them in their boxes, but it got to the point where it was a pain to take out the box and remove the parts. As you can see, my stack of nendoroid boxes is starting to grow tall ^^. This made it a pain to have to remove a box from the stack and open it up, then have to put it back again. Continue reading
