Dumping some random figure photos that I’ve taken over the past month or so. I’m thinking I might make this a regular thing, maybe posting a dump of random photos of figures every month.
Haven’t posted pictures of Snow Miku in a long time… and since winter is coming it seemed only right to start off with a pic of her.
Snapped some photos of the Nendoroid Petite Yomi and Mato set I picked up at Comic Con last month. Very cute!
Some more pics of them. Figured I didn’t really have enough pics to create a separate review post so I’m dumping them here.
Tried to go for a silhouette sort of effect here. I’ve been using my computer monitor for the background for these past few images (I also did that in my Nendoroid Kuroyukihime post). It’s nice to be able to change the background so easily, but I find that shooting in front of a monitor makes the color of the pictures look a bit wonky. Not sure why, but it’s probably better to shoot something in front of something that doesn’t produce like a monitor does. It would be nice to have a photo studio, maybe I’ll get around to building one someday.
For some reason I find Azunyan goes really well with Nagato’s bodies.
As some of you might be aware, a large hurricane blew over NYC a week ago. The end result was loss of power, a transit system that got flooded out, amongst other problems. Being stuck without power, and subsequently being without internets, was a good time to dust of the figures. I find dust accumilates really quickly, and can get a bit out of hand as you can see in the above pic. You can probably guess what nendoroid was sitting there by the print in the dust ^^.
Usually the best approach when dusting off figures is to use a brush. I use a really small paint brush which helps get dust off detailed figures. With nendoroids you could probably get away with a large brush as they aren’t too detailed.

Still one of my all-time favorite figures. BRS Animation version… can’t get tired of her. Still need to get deadmaster though…
Meant to do a review of figma Black Rock Shooter 2035 but never got around to it. Only got a few pics of her on hand so might as well post them here.
While I do find myself collecting more nendoroids than figmas, I still do like figmas. I started out figure collecting with figmas, my first purchase being Miku and Haruhi.
