Short review today as we look at the cute Sakura Shinguji & Koubu Nendoroid set from the game Sakura Taisen (Sakura Wars)
As you can see Shinguji also comes with her pink Koubu unit. Very cute!
Here she is out of the box. She comes with only two faces, this happy one and a sort of ‘battle’ face. You’ll see pictures of the other face further down.
I love her traditional dress! I’ll definitely have to use it with other nendoroids, it will certainly look very nice!
Besides her Koubu unit, Sakura comes with an additional arm, hand, face and two swords. Not much in the accessory department when it comes to this nendoroid but I guess that’s to compensate for coming with Koubu.
Koubu’s arms and legs do have articulating joints so you can move them to some extent. The lights on the front can also be moved side to side.
one neat thing about the set is that you are able to put Sakura into the cockpit of Koubu. To do this remove the top cover on Koubu and then remove the bottom half of the nendoroid. There is a peg inside the cockpit of Koubu where Sakura can fit on to.
And here is the end result. Very cute!
Here you can also see her one sword. You can also have Koubu hold the sword.
This is her other arm and sword where you can have her hold the sword at her side like this.
Makes for a very nice pose!!
Overall I think this is a good set. Sakura could probably use a few more accessories as she seems to be lacking in that sense. Otherwise she is a really cute nendoroid!

This nendo is pretty neat I’m surprised GSC included her mecha. Although I suppose it is a big part of the whole Sakura Wars image. Such shame we only got one of the games in the west.
Yeah I know it’s a shame we didn’t get more Sakura Wars games… but anyway yeah It’s nice she comes with her mecha, really makes this a nice set.
I so want her! I missed out on her pre-order and she is now pretty expensive everywhere I go so probably waiting for prices to fall a little. Definitely on my to-buy list sometime..just imagining snapping photos of her makes me drool…~ Ahaha nice review too!
