Autumn Days : An Outdoor Figure Photo Shoot

Autumn Central Park Photoshoot

It’s that time of year when the cold weather makes its way back,  leaves start to fall, and the days get shorter. Around late October/Early November is usually when the leaves start to change color here in the northeast. While the weather has been gradually getting colder, yesterday we had some warm weather come our way which made it a great day to be outside. It also makes for the perfect time to do another outdoor figure photo shoot!

Nendoroid Snow Miku 2013

Mikatan has recently updated her blog with pictures of what I would probably call the most beautiful nendoroid made so far! Nendoroid Snow Miku 2013 looks simply stunning!

Love the hood & Umbrella.

Her twintails are simply stunning! Love her robe as well.

Looks like she can also have a sitting down pose as well.

So cute~

While not much info is available as far as pre orders go, According to Mikatan’s blog (Using the power of Google translate!) she will be sold at the Sapporo Snow Festival via online lottery, this year’s Wonfest, and at the GoodSmile Cafe in Akihabara with more details to be announced shortly. I’m hoping she will be up for order on the web, be sure to check the Goodsmile Online Shop for more info!

How to spot a fake nendoroid

I’ve been wanting to make a guide like this for a while, so at last here it is! Today we’re going to be reviewing how to spot and avoid fake nendoroids. Those who are new to nendoroid buying might fall victim to counterfeit/bootleg nendoroids. Don’t let that be you! This page will hopefully be of use for anyone who wants to avoid purchasing a bootleg nendoroid.

How to Spot a Fake Nendoroid

Let’s get started. In my hands I have two Miku Hatsune nendoroids. One of them is real, and one is fake. Can you spot which one is fake?

Miku Dayo nendoroid is slightly frightening

Mikudayo Nendoroid

Mikatan has updated her blog with pictures of what I can only describe as the most frightening nendoroid I’ve seen. Original text from her blog:

Nendoroid Miku Dayo!

From ‘Character Vocal Series 01: Hatsune Miku’ comes a Nendoroid of the conspicuous character based on Hatsune Miku, Miku Dayo! Her flappy twin-tails that became ever-popular at events have been faithfully recreated in Nendoroid size, andeven move about in the same way as the original costume
I’m sure there are a couple of you that are wondering who the heck this is… let me create a quick summary of how she was created!

(1) Sega made the ‘Project mirai’ game, featuring Nendoroid Vocaloids!
(2) A life-size Nendoroid Miku costume was made to promote the game!
(3) Everyone felt the costume didn’t quite feel like the real Miku!
(4) The costume Miku became her own character, Miku Dayo!
(5) Miku Dayo is made into a Nendoroid, completing the cycle!

That about sums it up! Those of you who are hearing about this for the first time may find it quite hard to believe, but this strange version of Miku has become loved just after appearing at a few events!
